For this reason, make sure you don't have the Lucky 8-ball in your inventory when receiving the Almost Perfect perk because this way it will raise your Luck to only 8. You get a perk on each level up starting from level 2, and the level cap is 30, so there's a maximum of 29 perks you can get.
I suggest taking the following perks in this order. The Comprehension perk which we will be getting at level 5 makes you get 2 skill points from reading a skill book instead of 1. There are skill books in the game roughly 25 for each skill , meaning you can get extra skill points. Don't read any skill books before you get the Comprehension perk, except for the Grognak the Barbarian comic book which you get on your birthday during the childhood section.
It will be lost otherwise. So generally speaking there's little reason to keep investing points in a skill beyond the perk requirements. Getting the following quest perks is highly recommended. Note that some of them are given only after fulfilling specific quest conditions, look these up on the wiki.
Survival Guru Tough in particular requires a lot of planning. Perk Name. This is a pretty neat setup but honestly i think swift learning is a completely useless perk, it just makes you learn faster when you could get another perk that actually DOES something new for me. However, in my next play through once i get TTW installed, i plan to use the Black wider perk for some fun.
I usually go with a 1 intelligence build. I max all other stats to at least 7. I avoid all bobble heads. Activate it and choose the last option The final code is Choose it and youwill be shown a new option called Get Passcode.
Choose this and you will be shown a note. Followthe directions on the note to get the smallportion of the loot. Located directly Westof Vault Go into the diner on the oppositeside of the street of the Station, and go behindthe counter.
You will find the body of Prime. Search it and get your loot! Items, including the Xuanlong AssaultRifle. Smugglers End: Once you gain access to theBrotherhood Citadel you can take, search orlock pick anything that you want. When you are inthe Solar room you can lock pick the Elder Lyonssafe. You will find caps, other misc. Items and Smugglers End, anaugmented laser pistol. If you havethe 'Child at Heart' Perk, you can get it forfree. The rifle can be repaired using regularLaser Rifles.
The Vengeance: In the Deathclaw Sanctuary northwest corner of the world map , follow thecaves down and be prepared for many Deathclawencounters. In the southeastern corner of thecaves is a pool of blood under a column of rock. Literally a POOL of blood. In this pool there isa heap of gore with the Vengeance, an overpoweredLaser Gatling Gun. On the eastside of this mountain you'll pick up a Recon CraftTheta radio signal.
This will occur when you arejust a bit north of an imaginary horizontal linethrough Greener Pastures Disposal Site to the fareast. Search the east side of the slope for adestroyed house and you'll soon come across thesource of the signal just west of that: a downedflying saucer.
The ship is huge, so you can'tmiss it! Its pilot can be found below the opencockpit beware the radiation! Near the pilot isthe Alien Blaster and a bunch of ammo rods. Theseare easy to find at night.
Alien cannot besearched! This powerful weapon gets critical hitsfrequently and is the bane of Behemoths. You'llfind ammo for it randomly throughout the wastelandif you're lucky, so use the ammo you've gotsparingly! Sinceyou'll encounter many Deathclaws, you may want toset the difficulty to 'Very Easy' before exploringthis area.
On the southern-most street of OldOlney is a manhole. Use it to access the sewers. As you make your way through the sewers, you'llcome across a dead Brotherhood of Steel Initiateon the ground. You can take the armor from thecorpse. Here's the kicker: it talks! To start the quest, you must go to the Museum ofHistory and go to Underworld. The Ghoul haven. He is a ghoulwho wears a white business suit and has greenishspots on his head.
Talk to him selecting alloptions until he tells you that ghoul hatersdeserve to die. Agree with him and tell him you'llhelp. From the Republic of Dave.
First youshould go to Allistair Tenpenny in Tenpenny'sTower. Southwest part of the map, should showafter you've started the quest. When you getthere, after the ghoul Roy Philips is donetalking into the intercom , talk to the intercomand tell the guard that you want to see Tenpenny. There are other options too. As soon as you walkinto the tower, go to the door elevator behindthe receptionist desk. When you get up there, goto the left and you will see a guard.
Tell him youwant to talk to Tenpenny. Or, you can steal thekey, kill him, etc. When he lets you in, Tenpennyshould be outside on the balcony. Talk to himabout Mr. Crowley and shoot him in the head withthe sniper rifle. Nobody should come after whenyou do kill him, but you can save before just incase. Tenpenny does NOT have a key.
Dukov, Daveand Ted do. Now go trek to Dukov's Place. Why does Fallout 3 have so many perks that are absolutely useless to choose? Just a small list as well as my reasons why I find these specific perks to be useless. Once more just a waste of a perk, easy to earn caps and karma Contract killer Adds "Ears" to bad people, gain caps and negative karma.
Once more just a waste of perk, easy to earn caps and karma Tag! Just skill points Infiltrator Get a second chance if you force locks on doors, you should never have to force locks Computer Whiz Get a second chance if you get locked out of PC's, useless as you can just back out and go back in to refresh Explorer Gain the locations on the map, but you are not able to fast travel to them.
Even more worthless on PC as there is a console command that does the same thing. Last edited by The Infamous Cloaker ; 17 Aug, pm. Showing 1 - 9 of 9 comments. Thats a good question. To be fair. I know charisma is supposed to be a good choice but I enjoy playing talkie characters, so been able to take the charisma related perks that give dialog options is normally a must for me as soon as they are available.
My current thinking is dumping strength, perception or endurance but I'm not sure what direction to take? Showing 1 - 3 of 3 comments. Charisma is useless unless you absolutely need Speech and Barter higher in the beginning.
But even so it's not that big of a difference. Just tag Speech and Barter. There is no Charisma checks in this game.
