Any turnover ratio higher than 15 visitors per hour requires an accordingly designed access area and a swift exit to avoid "bottlenecks" resulting in long visitor queues.

One of the simplest solutions is a launch platform attached to trees or poles which can be accessed by a fixed ladder. Visitor turnover can be further increased by launching platforms on the top of a tower or a tower scaffold with an integrated staircase. Alternatively, attaching launch platforms to an existing premise with an internal or external staircase facilitates visitor access. Or you can get creative.

We go in depth into zip line brakes here. In our opinion, this is the place where there is the most variation. Do you want a swing seat, disc seat, or harness?

Do you have small kids and want to secure them? The installation is really simple as all of these attachments are secured using a carabiner attached to the trolley. We explore several options for you in our other blog post. As a final note, once everything is installed, do a safety test and inspection.

Use a test weight bucket of water, weights, etc to see if the braking mechanism, trolley and cable are acting as intended.

Be sure to make sure the anchors are secure. One test is to sharpie where the cable clamps are before the test and see if they shifted during the test ride. If they shifted, it needs to be tightened.

If the cable shows signs of fraying, retire it immediately. Check the trolley for excessive friction or roughness. Make sure all carabiners are secured. Check out our most popular recommend zip line kit here , or shop all zip line kits.

Hi guys I was hoping to install a zip line across 2 telephone poles at the rear of my property. But the line would run to close to a concrete block wall. Is there a bracket or something that I can use to side mount the line to give more spacing off the wall and still use the telephone poles to support the weight and tension of the zip line for young kids?

When buying from The Zip Wire Company Well as we have mentioned above, there is no real science to making the ideal zip wire as everyone's requirements are different.

Some people want a medium speed ride and others would like a fast ride. So in order to achieve this it is very much a trial and error process to find your optimum height that your sending end wire needs to be at. Quite simply, if you want your zip wire to go faster then the height at the sending end needs to be increased.

Below we have put our suggested "Fall Off's" which are a good starting place: For 10mm wire and runs up to 80m : For runs up to 20m: - up to 1. So if the height of where you will put the wire at the receiving end is 2. Ever good zip wire should end with "The Whip" - it's something that every rider looks forward to and is the last bit to your experience of riding a good zip wire. As you approach the spring brake stopper at the end of your run, make sure that you are holding tight because as you hit the stopper at the end of the brake, you will naturally be thrown upwards towards the wire.

Please remember that with any zip wire it is a question of trial and error until you find the correct balance between speed and the whip at the finish.
